BC Training and Education Savings Grant (BCTESG)
One-time BC provincial grant of $1,200 per eligible child, deposited directly into the RESP. Applied for between the child's sixth and ninth birthday.
Eligibility
- Child born on or after January 1, 2006
- Child resident of BC at time of application
- RESP open at time of application
- Application window: after child's 6th birthday, before 9th birthday (or specific extended windows for older cohorts)
Limits and rules
- One-time $1,200 per beneficiary (not annual)
- Application window is strict; missed window means the grant is lost
- Deposited directly to the RESP as BCTESG; treated as a grant for EAP purposes
