Two separate documents: one for financial/property decisions if you become incapacitated, one for health and personal care decisions. Typically named to different people. Essential alongside a will.

- Separate documents for each type of POA
- Can be specific (durable/enduring) or general
Limits and rules
- POA for property: handles finances during incapacity, ends at death
- POA for personal care: handles health decisions, ends at death
- Provincial names vary: POA in Ontario, Representation Agreement in BC, Mandate in Quebec
